Tiny Tales
Nurturing Language and Early Literacy Through Play!
Tiny Tales is a caregiver-and-child class designed to support toddlers’ early language development and the foundations of early literacy through shared stories, songs, movement, and play. In a fun, supportive setting, children participate in activities that build skills such as attention, joint engagement, vocabulary growth, and early comprehension, while caregivers learn practical strategies to encourage communication during everyday routines. The class also strengthens connection between you and your child, offering simple, meaningful ways to foster language and literacy through play, daily interactions, and shared reading.
In this class, you and your child will:
Share interactive read-alouds that build vocabulary, curiosity, and early comprehension
Sing songs and explore rhymes that support early language and pre-literacy skills
Move, dance, and play to help children stay engaged and learn through movement and the senses
Learn easy, effective strategies you can use at home to support communication
Leave with fresh ideas to make storytime feel fun and engaging
Connect with other families in a welcoming, supportive environment
Why focus on reading together so early?
Research shows that reading aloud with toddlers:
Strengthens language and communication skills
Supports early brain development
Builds attention, listening, and memory skills
Encourages back-and-forth interaction and conversation
Lays the foundation for a lifelong love of books
Tiny Tales is currently offered privately and as an enrichment class at select private schools.
